About this guide.
Can I leave my puppy for a full workday?
The guide is honest about this: RSPCA and PDSA advise against leaving a dog alone for more than about four hours, and the AKC says a puppy should not go straight to a full eight-hour workday. It shows you how to cover the day with a gradual plan and a coverage planner.
Do I need this before the puppy arrives?
It can help. The guide says to be honest about your schedule first and to fill in the coverage planner before your first full workday.
